My cooperating teachers are Mrs. Selvi and Frater Hendrik, with Mrs. Selvi being the primary one. During my observation, Mrs. Selvi employed an engaging teaching method that encouraged students to have a stronger interest in learning English. She is knowledgeable about her lessons. She also used books for her references and guides to teach the students.

The technique that she used was she discussed the lesson with the students for approximately 20 minutes and the remainder of the class hour was dedicated to the activities such as a group activity, individual activity, or pair activity. Thus, all are designed to foster a highly interactive and engaging learning environment. During the discussions, the teacher had to translate everything she said in English to Bahasa Indonesia because some students were not proficient in English. With this technique, some of the students would not left behind. Additionally, she used PowerPoint presentations and activity sheets for the students. After the activities were done by the students, they checked the activities one by one by giving them the time to share their answers with the other students and the other students will react to whether the answers of their classmates were correct or wrong. The teaching technique she employed not only helps students enhance their creative thinking but also works to boost their self-confidence. Moreover, it serves as a method for teachers to ensure that students have a clear and thorough grasp of the lessons being taught. This approach benefits both the students' cognitive development and their overall self-assurance in their learning journey.

Furthermore, it's quite evident that the teacher holds authority in the classroom. However, she will make sure she creates a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout the class. This means that while she maintains order and control, she also ensures that students feel comfortable, welcomed, and at ease, making the learning environment not only disciplined but also inviting and approachable.
In conclusion, there are valuable there are valuable lessons to be learned from my cooperating teacher. Her interactive teaching approach, which includes a mix of discussions and engaging activities, not only boosts students' creative thinking and confidence but also ensures a clear understanding of the lessons. Additionally, her ability to balance authority with a friendly classroom environment sets a positive example of effective classroom management.
