SCHOOL: General Information and Academic Administration
SMP Frater Kendari was the school to which I was assigned. Located at Jalan Sultan Hasanuddin 73 Kendari. Frater Kendari Middle School is a Catholic Junior High School in Kendari City. It is an SMPS under the auspices of the Taman Tunas Foundation.
SMP Frater Kendari’s vision is to become a Catholic Educational Institution that is Social, Humanistic, Ecologically Insightful, and imbued with the spirit of the Congregation of Fraternal Servants of Christ (Ad Omne Opus Bonum Paratus). The school's mission is to carry out the duties of the social mission of the Church and the Congregation of the Servant Brothers of Christ in the world of education.

The teaching system of SMP Frater Kendari includes a junior high school for students in grades 7 through 9. The school is divided into three parts for each grade level, creating a controlled and targeted learning environment. Each classroom in these sections normally has a class of 30 to 35 pupils. Students participate in classes as part of their daily routine that lasts until 2:00 p.m., allowing enough time for thorough instruction and academic activities throughout the school day. On Fridays, students can explore and develop their talents or skills, promoting a well-rounded development of their intellect and abilities.
In terms of its facilities, SMP Frater Kendari provides clean and cozy classrooms. While they don't have air-conditioned rooms, the school ensures that each room has an electric fan to keep students comfortable. Every classroom has a whiteboard and a projector that can be used for teacher and student presentations. Additionally, the school offers an air-conditioned computer lab, a library where students can even take naps and enjoy reading, a hygienic canteen, and sports facilities like basketball, tennis, futsal, and volleyball courts for students to use.

Furthermore, SMP Frater Kendari goes beyond being solely a Catholic institution; it is a school that welcomes students from various religious backgrounds, including Muslims, Protestants, and Catholics. This inclusive approach fosters a rich tapestry of diversity within the school community, promoting a spirit of unity and understanding among students of different faiths.
